As most of you probably know, me and AJ had a bit of fun in Orlando this month! He left on the 20th, and I was totally jealous because he got the Seaworld creds, but I couldn't get that day or the 21st off work, so I had to leave the night of the 21st. I arrived at the airport at about 6:30pm, had some beers, and realized I left my memory card at home which was really annoying, but AJ thankfully had a spare. The flight was really good and was only 2.5 hours long. Me and this one fab guy chatted for the entirety of it. Finally I landed and got on the shuttle, which took another hour, but then I seen the hotel and I seen AJ standing in front of it, woot. After hugs, we went back to the room which wasn't bad at all for the price we paid! Keep in mind that some of these pics, especially the ones taken at night, were taken by AJ. My camera doesn't work at night, so I STOLE (with permission, of course).
Since it was like midnight by the time I got to the hotel we just chatted and ordered a pizza.
Since it was late, we decided that it was bed time after our pizza was finished.
We got up at about 6am to beautify ourselves with a little bit of time to spare before the 7:55 shuttle arrived. It came a bit late as usual, but soon we were on our way.
Obligatory ball photo.
The park was clearly pretty dead, so we started off with a ride on Rip Ride Rockit, which was a walk on.
I thought the coaster was pretty decent. Nothing amazing, but definitely fun and rerideable.
We headed to Transformers next, which was also a walk on. The ride was as awesome as I remembered it being from my California trip!
Next up was Revenge of the Mummy, yet another walk on. I didn't have super high expectations, but I did like the one in California so I figured I'd like this too. Well, it blew away my expectations for sure and is not really anything like the other one. We sat in the back and rode it two times. It was probably one of my favourite coasters of the trip.
Since we were starvin' Marvins, we went to Starbucks where AJ found his one true love: Passion tea sweetened lemonade. I hate how they get your name at Starbucks because not once out of three times did they get my name correct </3
Disaster was next, and both of us had no idea what it was.
It is completely a wtf kind of ride. You make a movie and then go on the Subway train that use to be used for Earthquake to film the final scene. It was entertaining to say the least.
We wanted to see the Despicable Me characters after Disaster, so we made our way around to where the float was, which turned out to be the struggle but we eventually found it.
We got the Woody Woodpecker cred next.
Then took a minute to laugh at Curious George who was getting his butt douched.
It was time to face my fear (for those of you who don't know, ET scares the Hell out of me). We walked on to ET the ride.
Omg I hated the way his head was like peeking around the corner </3
And this sketch sign, which clearly indicates ET is a creeper and will steal children.
The ride itself was a bit weird, with a lack of ET but a plethora of a lot of other creepy characters. Not really a fan, but that's because he scares me.
We met Spongebob.
We headed to Springfield to ride the Simpsons ride.
Simpsons was better than I remembered it. Definitely fun!
AJ was feeling somewhat queasy and we were pretty hungry, so we sat down in the shade for a bit to chat and eat a snack. I had a churro.
We rode Men in Black after about twenty minutes of relaxing. I didn't really like it because it spins for like, no reason, and I'm not such a fan of spinny rides. Plus, my score got annihilated.
The Superstar parade was about to start, so we got a seat on the bench.
To be honest the parade was a bit ****. There were literally like, four floats. We were both starving by the time it ended so we left the park and went to Bubba Gump.
The only ride that had a substantial wait was Despicable Me, which was really the only thing we had left to do. We waited almost an hour for it which I guess was worth it but we were growing weary of simulators by then!
We got the meet the Minions!
There was some sort of Mardi Gras thing going on so we just walked around the park and looked at some of the costumes (and the topless men).
The last thing we did was the Horror Makeup show, which was fairly decent.
Our shuttle went back at like, 6:30 so we caught that with lots of time to spare considering everyone likes to be late. Once we got back to the hotel, we went to the liquor store to get some beer, snacks, and wine. We thought we were gonna go out but when we got back we just threw our pyjamas on and drank there. Unfortunately we had a nerd related incident where nerds spilled all over my bed and the floor. It was fun sleeping/stepping in them all week considering the maid never vacuumed them.
AJ being a goon:
Oh yeah, and Lofthouse cookies har har.
