They’re both the same speed.
I wonder how/if Icon will be affected by the notorious winds of Blackpool.
^They'd just boost the launch speeds to cope.
Another photo of the Immelmann:-
I still think it twists out to soon.
Could get some nice sideways airtime there.
You'd better phone Mack and let them know they've miscalculated their forces - they better get a move on before the coaster opens...
The 12 rides in front of it will deflect all wind.
@Sandman the wind will Depend on how many drunken sweaty kebabs all the hen and stag parties have had
ATI, wait until you see it in person. It is ridiculously steep and tight hence the premature rotation. It will provide a fantastic sensation, the fact it's fit into that gap along with launch track, brake run and a station building is an engineering marvel in its own right.
What should we expect the final appearance of the station building to be like, if anyone can say?
Boring and blocky, if the current look is to remain. Which would be an absolute shame.
The optimist in me hopes they wouldn't bother giving it an actual theme if they didn't have grand plans for the station. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a plain box with a bit of Japanese writing on the inside.

Nothing against PBE but the credit belongs to BDaily.
Anyway, great pics. Here is one showing the high five. Credit to Blackpool Gazette:
I'm so reserved when it comes to the High Five element, it's either gonna be really fun and floaty, or you're gonna slam into the right hand side of the car because the speed=banking is slightly off - just like on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (although that one is much more stretched out).
Ahh it's so pretty.
As long as it's not slow as like the crap top hat on Blue Fire. Anything is better than that.
Amanda helping us out with construction pics...
Interesting to read there’s going to be “top secret” special effects in the tunnel. May well be a bit of theming after all?
My guess is a fountain
My guess is a screen with a "Jumpscare"
Jokes aside, it will probably just be some lights, a la Fury.
