Not that unlikely, actually. Of course, the primary evacuation strategy is not "out of the window". I did a short research in the construction regulations here in the state (NRW) and it clearly demands a primary and a secondary escape route, independent from each other. The secondary route can...

As there are access doors on those levels I'd rather think they are for evacuation. My uneducated guess would be that (if the round windows can be opened in an emergency situation) the height of the lower levels would be sufficient to get away with "minor" injuries when dropping one down. Above...

BTW those white "funny fins" at the bottom right are the LSM stators ;) Besides Fly/Friction wheels being more common in general as an in-station-drive it would make absolutely no sense having them there in a 90 degree sitting orientation (and not 45 like you mentioned).

^ Yes, it seems so. Also followed by an immelmann. Can't compare them as I did not ride FdD yet.

Not sure about that :D I constantly notice a decent amount of people (no matter if first timer or experienced enthusiast) getting defeated by that Mother of some Helix. ^^ I seem to be on the lucky side having no problems so far, but maybe they designed a tiny bit to close to the margins. In...

Besides the fact that at the end of the day every ride perception is quite individual, I think it could be a matter of the definition of the term "airtime" itself. From my so-far-experience I personally could provide two possible definitions: 1. The feeling, the raw (lack of/negative)...

Well, that's a Bo...erm..beautiful plot twist! Maybe it's just me phantasizing, but if it follows the path @roff suggests, I could imagine an awesome airtime moment at the top. Possibly followed by some kind of wing-over-drop maybe? I still don't believe in a Pretzel. @UP87 you can enter the...

I don't see an "extension" of the Troy area. First because of the parking lot which would have to be removed. Besides the mentioned fact that it is useful for winter operations (I assume they will be using the old entrance then), the second and more important reason is simple: I think it is just...

@Ethan There are so much more tones between Black and White in this world. Believe me or not - personally I am able to like or even love a ride, even if it is not the best and newest one. There are things I don't like (that much) with BB, but it is not a reason to blame the whole experience...

Can't understand the BB shaming, guys. Yes, it is by now the ugly duckling of the park and has bad capacity. But it is still an enjoyable and solid ride. The launch is decent and fun, yet unfair to be compare to modern ones. Allthough I am not a fan of the riding position (espacially being a...

The time from off-chain to brake-run is approx. 40 seconds. I expected that and I think it is comparable to Dwervelwind. A short, but relatively intense and fun experience withe exactly the right amount of thrill and fun :)

First I thought the same. But concerning Avalon there are 2 major attractions integrated and interweaved in/with the area in a rarely seen level of detail. One covering the thrill seeker and one covering the family target group. Possibly both with decent dark ride elements. There is IMHO no...

Yes clearly. What fools they are. It would be so much easier, faster and cheaper, where they just planting a giant 200.000 cubic meter mold - including all the layers and buildings - into the pit and pour all that concrete at once. Then they could just bend and weld the track parts together...

    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

This construction site can not be compared with any other usual coaster site. The hole coaster seems to be completely integrated in an entire "City" like environment on multiple layers. We are not talking about "a little bit of concrete". Almost the entire 7000 square meters are paved and they...
