    Alton Towers New Flat Ride?

Reading the planning document it makes it sound like a substantial concrete structure will be installed that the ride will sit on. This structure will contain plant equipment and a tunnel to allow guests to move around forbidden valley. To me that sounds like they are building the floor of the...

    Alton Towers | Nemesis Reborn | B&M Retrack | 2024

To be honest to begin with I really wasn't sold on the veins they reminded me too much of a cheap ghost train but now seeing the track section in place I can see the veins really do take me back to the original Nemesis Logo. I’m sure the similarity isn’t a coincidence, for that reason alone it...

Drayton Manor 2022 - New Vikings Area

I agree , it all looks great but the shape of the Disko lends itself so well to a Viking longboat how did they miss that trick.

What's the roughest coaster in the UK and why?

I would add Shockwave to the mix last time I rode it there was more headbanging than at a 24 hour heavy metal marathon, and the jolt when it hits the brakes is not at all fun for those who aren't expecting it.

Paultons Park | Tornado Springs | New Area | 2021

Gulliver's have at least 1 ride in the Milton Keynes (jousting castle) that runs a dual mode both with different height restrictions, it just has 2 queue lines and basically runs like separate rides. They just operate it on alternate modes filling from the appropriate queue.

Alton Towers | Wicker Man | GCI Wood

There can't be any block brakes in the tunnel because the lift chain doesn't begin at the bottom of the hill, the train needs the momentum gained in the tunnel to make it up the lift hill.

Alton Towers | Wicker Man | GCI Wood

Just had another check through the planning documents on: http://publicaccess.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=104356 It looks like the track dives under the pre-show building after leaving the station into whats called the "UnderCroft". You can see an...

    Paultons | Raptor/FotP | Vekoma Junior Boomerang/SFC

It's interesting to see the boomerang has been installed 180 degrees out compared to all the art work released a few months ago. That will push the station further back and allow the entrance to the que to be in a much better position. In the original plan the que entrance almost complete...

Thorpe Park | Derren Brown's Ghost Train | VR Attraction

Re: Thorpe Park construction? Am I the only one thinking they could install something like the new simworx robocoaster G1 or even a G2? Can't post links but the simworx website under products has some pretty nice pics and videos of the system. The only thing going against the idea is the pit...

Alton Towers | The Smiler | Gerstlauer Infinity

Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1 I think it looks like it'll be a solid addition to the Towers. Plenty of forces and head choppers all round. One thing to remember when watching that POV is its a helmet mounted camera so the jerkiness is not due to dodgy...
